Golden Horizon School, Nashik, inaugurated the third season of its civic awareness initiative Speak for Nashik to encourage students to identify and act on local civic issues. As part of the project, Class 7 students surveyed open electric distribution panels (DPs) in nearby areas. Residents expressed concerns about exposed wires and creepers around the panels, which pose serious safety hazards.
To bring these issues to light, students interviewed residents from the locality and compiled the interviews into an impactful video. This video was officially launched by Mr. Jagdish Dharmavir Jadhav, Executive Engineer, MSEDCL Nashik Urban Division 2, and Mr. Gopal Chauhan, the Chief Guest, for the annual Award day event held at the school on May 1. The report was also presented to Mr. Jadhav, who appreciated the efforts of the students and assured that necessary corrective actions would be taken.
